Traffic diversions for Mahashivratri at Ellora

A large number of devotees visit the Grishneshwar Temple in Ellora during Mahashivratri celebrations. Considering the heavy influx of visitors from February 25 to March 3, Superintendent of Police Dr Vinay Kumar Rathod has issued orders to divert heavy traffic on the Dhule-Solapur highway and the Khultabad-Phulambri route. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed in the Khultabad-Ellora region during this period.

Heavy vehicles travelling from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Kannad, Ellora, Khultabad, and Daulatabad must take the route via Sharnapur Phata, Maliwada, Varzhadi, Kasabkheda Phata, Ellora Bypass, and then proceed to Kannad. Heavy vehicles coming from Kannad towards Ellora, Khultabad, Daulatabad, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar must follow the route through Ellora Bypass, Kasabkheda Phata, Varzhadi, Maliwada, Sharnapur Phata, and then reach Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Heavy vehicles from Phulambri heading towards Sultanpur, Khultabad, and Ellora must take the route via Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sharnapur Phata, Maliwada, Varzhadi, Kasabkheda Phata, Ellora Bypass, and continue towards Kannad. These restrictions aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion during the Mahashivratri pilgrimage. Devotees and commuters are requested to follow the revised routes for a hassle-free journey.
