Aurangabad, Oct 21: In a ghastly road accident, two persons from Ellora were killed on the spot in a collision between a tanker and a Mahindra pick-up van at Jambhala village on Aurangabad-Nashik highway on Wednesday, at around 12:10 pm. According to the details, Sandip Ajmera (45) and Babbu Sheru Shaikh (20), both residents of Ellora in Khuldabad tehsil, were travelling in the Mahindra pick-up van (MH-20-DE-8825) when it collided with the tanker (MH-15-FV-7930) leading to their death. Ajmera was a dealer of cold drinks and was on his way to deliver the bottles to retail shopkeepers. Residents and police rushed to the spot and removed bodies from the vehicle. There was a pool of blood and bottles were seen scattered on the spot. Daulatabad police station inspector Rajshri Aade and her team visited the spot. However, the incident occurred in Sillegaon police station jurisdiction. Police are investigating further.
