Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Unseasonal rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunder lashed the city and nearby areas on Monday evening after around 7:15 pm. The thunder and lightning created conditions similar to the monsoon. Till around 9 pm, light to moderate showers were reported across different parts of the city, while some adjoining areas witnessed heavier rainfall.

Areas including Waluj, Jhalta, Sawangi and regions beyond Daulatabad received rainfall. Earlier, the city had experienced unseasonal showers between March 17 and 21, and the trend continued again on March 30.

The maximum temperature recorded on Monday was 37.3°C, while the minimum was 23.8°C. Despite slightly lower temperatures, humidity remained high. The weather turned increasingly humid after 4 pm, with cloud cover building up by evening, leading to rainfall.

Rain with hail likely for next 4–5 days

Unseasonal rain is expected to continue over the next four to five days, with chances of hailstorms. Due to an active western disturbance, regions including western Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Konkan-Goa are likely to receive rainfall, said weather expert Shrinivas Aundhkar.
