Aurangabad, Dec 17:

In the first phase of the Corona vaccination registration, in all 22,500 health employees working in the front line to provide medical services have been registered in the city so far. In the second phase, the police, homeguard, sanitary workers, government employees and self help group activists will be vaccinated. These persons will have to register their names for vaccination with the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) by December 25, informed the AMC health officer Dr Neeta Padalkar.

In the first phase, around 4,000 employees of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), 2,500 of MGM, 2,500 of the AMC and District Civil Hospital and 13,500 doctors and employees of the private hospitals have been registered for the first phase of the vaccination.

Similarly, the registration process for the vaccination of the second phase has already began. The vaccine is likely to be available in January and hence the vaccine will be administered at around 100 centres in the strict police bandobast, Dr Padalkar informed.

Meanwhile, the rumours have spread that the vaccination is being done secretly in the city. The vaccine is given to the persons in Rs 2300. However, the Food and Drugs administration has not given any permission for the use of such vaccine until now. Hence, the residents should remain alert about, the AMC advised to the people. There are rumours in the city that the vaccine is given in the city. However, the government has not provided any permission for any vaccine until now. Hence, the resident should not be in the haste and should not fell prey to the rumours. Vaccination has not started yet in the country and it is likely to start in January, the administration mentioned.
