‘Vehicle Servicing’ to be done at the 'Automobile Workshop of Bamu

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Students pursuing technical education at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will now be able to gain practical professional experience.
Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar said that approval was granted to start a consultancy service at the Automobile Workshop of the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra (DDUKK).
A meeting of the Management Council of Bamu was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari. Pro VC Dr Walmik Sarvade, Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar, and other members were present.

A total of 15 subjects were discussed and decisions were taken. Some of the subjects are as follows:
--The Automobile Workshop in the DDUKK department is fully equipped with infrastructure for servicing and repairing two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
A proposal was presented by Department Director Dr Bharati Gawali to start a consultancy service in the department, aimed at providing maximum practical exposure to students while also generating revenue for the university. The proposal was approved. As a result, servicing of two-wheelers and four-wheelers will now be carried out in the university's laboratory.
-- A total of 27 proposals regarding new batches and starting new courses were approved with recommendations — 23 positively and 4 negatively.

Committee Formed Regarding Affiliation
A committee has been constituted to decide on the affiliation fees and extension fees to be charged to permanently affiliated colleges. The committee is chaired by former Pro VC Dr Shyam Shirsath. It includes another former Pro-VC, Dr Ashok Tejnkar, Principal Dr Bharat Khandare and Dr Ankush Kadam. The deadline of March 31 for fee payment has been extended.
