The Anti-Narcotics Branch arrested wanted accused Deepak Malke at Naregaon Maidan on Thursday. He was on the run in a drug-related case.

In February 2025, the Anti-Narcotics Branch had seized marijuana and narcotic pills from Ajay Thakur and Rani Thakur in the Satara Police Station area. A case was registered against them under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Police Commissioner, Osmanpura Division. Malke, a resident of Naregaon, Baluch Galli, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, was wanted in the same case. Acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Narcotics Squad found him at Naregaon Maidan and arrested him. He has been handed over to the ACP, Osmanpura Division, for further action. The arrest was carried out under the guidance of senior officers, including CP Pravin Pawar, DCP (Crime) Prashant Swami, and ACP Ranjit Patil and Subhash Bhujang. The operation was led by PI Geeta Bagwade and her team.
