Aurangabad, March 4:

The workers of Wipro Enterprises in Waluj have warned of agitation in front of the company from March 6 as the management of the company is refusing to sign the wage hike agreement.

Wipro Enterprises has a union of Maharashtra Kamgar Vikas Sanghatana. As per the union members, the company management and union had signed a wage hike agreement in 2016. It was mandatory to sign a new agreement on January 31, 2020, after the expiration of the agreement. But company management has been reluctant to sign the wage hike agreement for the past year. Workers have continued to follow up with management. As a mark of protest, the workers wore black ribbons for 15 days from November 25. A similar agitation was held on December 9. But the demands have been turned down. The workers have given a deadline of March 6 to the company management to sign the agreement. If no settlement is reached, the workers have been warned of agitation through a statement. The statement has been signed by union founder secretary Ramkisan Shelke, state vice president Ganesh Ghorpade, Namdev Mankape, Vijay Jadhav, Sopan Tupe, Vishnu Falke, Dilip Salunke, Bharat Naikondi, Prakash Suryavanshi and others.
