Aurangabad, May 20:
A pillion rider woman died as a speeding motorcycle slipped
from a bridge near Demni Wahegaon Phata on Jalna Road on Wednesday night. The
deceased has been identified as Sarita Vishwanath Room (36, Mukundwadi).
Sarita Room and Ashwin Harne were coming to Aurangabad from
Jalna on the motorcycle. At Devini Phata, the speeding motorcycle slipped on
the bridge while Sarita fell from the bike and sustained severe head injuries.
Harne also sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the nearby residents rushed the
injured to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the doctors
declared her dead after examination. She is survived by two sons and a
daughter. Last rites were performed at her native village at Kumbhari in
Bhokardan tehsil on Thursday.
