Aurangabad, Nov 11:

To get rid of harassment and torture meted out by in-laws, a woman ended her life by jumping into a well along with her one and a half-year-old daughter at Dahegaon Bungalow vicinity in Gangapur tehsil, on Monday at 8 am. The names of the deceased are Yogita Vithal Raut and Akshada Raut. Meanwhile, acting upon the complaint of the deceased''s father, the Waluj police station has booked husband Vithal Nanasaheb Raut and mother-in-law Gayabai Nanasaheb Raut today.

A resident of Salbatpur in Newasa tehsil, Atmaram Gaoli''s daughter Yogita was married to Vithal, five years ago. The couple had two daughters Pragati and Akshada. The in-laws pressed Yogita to bring Rs 20,000 for domestic expenses from her parents. Yogita informed her father, but he showed an inability to give the money as his financial condition was not very good. As a result, the in-laws intensified the harassment and would torture her frequently.

To get rid of the harassment, Yogita had ended her life with Akshada on Monday morning. Under the guidance of the police inspector Sandeep Gurme, the assistant PI and PSI are investigating the case.
