Aurangabad, Oct 30:

A youth, who was on his way home from a hotel in Daulatabad area, died on the spot when his two-wheeler collided with a tree. The accident took place in front of Ujwal Hotel in Mitmita around 6 pm on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Mangesh Jawaharsingh Thakur (32, Bhoiwada).

According to police, Mangesh had gone to Daulatabad in the afternoon. Before coming home, he had a meal at a hotel and rode home on his bike. When he was in front of the Ujwal hotel, an approaching vehicle tried to cut him off making him lose control of his two-wheeler. The motorcycle collided with a tree on the side of the road. Mangesh was seriously injured in the accident and died on the spot. The Chawni police rushed to the spot after getting information about the accident. He was rushed to the government hospital. However, the doctor declared him dead. Mangesh''s father was a soldier in the army. His father died in infancy and his mother retired as a nurse. He is survived by his mother, wife, a son and a daughter. A case of accidental death has been registered in the Chawni police station.
