Gold and Silver Prices on February 12, 2026: Silver Drops by Rs 2,500; Check Latest Price of Yellow Metal Today
The price hike of gold and silver witness to have cut in early trade on Thursday, February 12, 2026. On the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), silver rate fell by Rs 2,500, while gold declined by Rs 1,000.
Silver, which had closed at Rs 2,63,018 per kg in the previous session, opened at Rs 2,61,361 today. In early trade, silver touched a high of Rs 2,61,924 and a low of Rs 2,60,128. As of 9.30 am, it was trading at Rs 2,60,369, down by Rs 2,649 or 1.01%.
Gold prices also fell in the opening session. Yellow was trading at Rs 1,58,755 per 10 grams in the last session and opened at Rs 1,58,000 today. In the initial trade, prices rose to Rs 1,58,173 and slipped to a low of Rs 1,57,701. At 9.36 am, gold was trading at Rs 1,57,858, down by Rs 897 or 0.57%.

A report by Geojit Investments suggests gold may remain range-bound in the short term but is likely to see a strong rise in the medium and long term. While the easing of global tensions has slowed the rally, sustained buying by central banks and strong ETF inflows are expected to support prices. Analysts say that once the current phase of profit-taking ends, the market will refocus on these fundamentals, strengthening gold’s outlook.
