Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe, resigned from the company after two months of high drama that erupted over an audio clip where he allegedly abused a Kotak Mahindra Bank employee. This comes days after BharatPe sacked his wife Madhuri Jain Grover for alleged financial irregularities ranging from producing fake invoices to billing the company for personal beauty treatment and trips abroad. Grover, who was also the managing director of BharatPe, sent an email to the fintech's board, saying he had been ‘vilified’ and treated in the ‘ most disrespectful manner’. The news of Grover's resignation created an uproar on social media as netizens flooded social media with funny memes.
