New Delhi, Aug 17 State-run power-generation company National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has said that it is "actively" looking at business opportunities in East Asia, Middle East and Africa.

The company in its investor presentation said that among its international operations, construction activity of a 1,320 MW project in Bangladesh is under progress and 10 countries have finalised with International Solar Alliance (ISA) to implement 1,500 MW solar projects.

Further, it has also been appointed as the project management consultant (PMC) by the Government of Mali for 500 MW solar projects.

Giving updates on its acquisition of power assets, the PSU power genco said that the acquisition of the Jhabua Power Plant through the NCLT route is under progress.

It further said that it has acquired the entire stake of the Government of India in THDC and NEEPCO.

Regarding the progress in terms of the waste-to-energy (WtE) plants, the presentation said that the joint venture with the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) for setting up an integrated WtE project in East Delhi.

"Plasma Gasification based WtE pilot plant for 50 TPD MSW jointly by NTPC and IOC is being pursued with SDMC," it said.

NTPC further said that it is setting up 250 charging stations across the cities and highways for creation of a charging infrastructure ecosystem for e-mobility and 90 chargers have already been installed.

"NTPC is offering complete e-bus solutions to STUs through its subsidiary NVVN," it said.

It is also designing a pilot project with a complete value chain of hydrogen, the investor presentation said.
