Park Medi World Plans Major Capacity Expansion to Over 5,000 Beds by FY28, Strengthening Healthcare Access in North India

New Delhi [India], March 11: Park Medi World, a rapidly growing multi-specialty hospital platform focused on North India, is set to significantly expand its healthcare infrastructure as it aims to increase its total bed capacity to approximately 5,260 beds by FY28, reinforcing its commitment to improving access to quality healthcare in underserved regions.

Currently, the healthcare provider operates 14 multi-super-specialty hospitals with nearly 3,250 beds, including around 870 ICU beds, across key markets such as Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, and Rajasthan. The upcoming expansion will be driven by cluster-based capacity additions in its existing strongholds across Haryana, Punjab, and the National Capital Region (NCR), alongside a strategic entry into the underpenetrated Uttar Pradesh market.

India continues to face a significant shortage of hospital infrastructure, with only 1.5 hospital beds per 1,000 people compared to the World Health Organization's benchmark of three beds. The gap is especially pronounced in Tier-II and Tier-III cities. Park Medi World's presence in rapidly urbanising regions surrounding Delhi-NCR positions the network to play a vital role in addressing the growing demand for affordable and accessible healthcare services.

Alongside capacity expansion, the hospital group is strengthening its focus on high-acuity specialties including cardiology, neurology, and oncology. This strategy is expected to enhance clinical capabilities while improving operating efficiencies and increasing the average revenue per occupied bed.

The company is also witnessing a gradual improvement in its patient mix, with a rising share of private and self-pay patients, supported by favorable reimbursement dynamics such as recent revisions in CGHS rates. Together, these developments are expected to support sustained growth and stronger earnings visibility in the coming years.

With its expansion pipeline and focus on advanced care specialties, Park Medi World aims to play a larger role in addressing India's growing healthcare needs while strengthening its position as a leading hospital network in North India.
