Schneider Electric Infra appoints Sudhakaran as new MD and CEO

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd has appointed Sanjay Sudhakaran as Additional Director, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for five years from May 1.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd has appointed Sanjay Sudhakaran as Additional Director, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for five years from May 1.

Under a comprehensive succession planning programme, the board of directors accepted recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee, and also approved the resignation of Bruno Bernard Dercle who is currently the Managing Director and CEO.

Sudhakaran is currently the Vice President of Schneider Electric Digital Energy Division and has been associated with Schneider Group since 2019. He has 25 years of exposure to multiple industries and cultural settings.

In another development, the board appointed Amol Phatak as Additional Director from May 1. He is currently designated as Director for Industrial Strategy Deployment and has about 32 years of work experience.

Earlier, Phatak held leadership roles in Siemens, Areva and Schneider. He has graduated in production engineering and executive management programme from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure is engaged in the business of manufacturing, designing, building and servicing technologically advanced products and systems for electricity network.

Its key end-markets include power generation, transmission and distribution, oil and gas, Metro, and other electro intensive segments.

The company has four manufacturing facilities in India spread over three locations: Vadodara (two units), Kolkata (one unit) and Chennai (one unit).
