India National Cricket Team vs England Cricket Team Match Scorecard:  England were bowled out for a mammoth 669 runs in their first innings on Day 4 of the fourth Test against India at Old Trafford. The hosts now lead India by 311 runs as the visitors prepare to bat again. England skipper Ben Stokes returned to form with a commanding 141-run knock off 198 balls. His innings included 11 boundaries and three sixes. He was supported by strong performances from the top and middle order.

Zak Crawley scored 84 off 113 deliveries, hitting 13 boundaries and one six. Ben Duckett narrowly missed a century, falling for 94 in 100 balls with 13 boundaries. Ollie Pope also made a solid contribution with 71 runs off 128 balls, including seven boundaries. Veteran batter Joe Root anchored the innings with a classic 150-run knock from 248 deliveries. He struck 14 boundaries. Brydon Carse added late momentum with 47 off 54 balls, hitting three boundaries and two sixes.

Liam Dawson, who came in as a replacement, scored 26 off 65 balls. The lower order could not add much as Harry Brook managed only three runs. Jamie Smith, Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer contributed nine, four and two not out, respectively.

For India, Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers. He bowled 37.1 overs and took 4 wickets for 143 runs. Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar claimed two wickets each. Bumrah gave away 112 runs in 33 overs, while Sundar conceded 107 in 28 overs.

Anshul Kamboj and Mohammed Siraj picked up one wicket each. Kamboj gave 89 runs in 18 overs. Siraj bowled 30 overs for 140 runs. Shardul Thakur remained wicketless in his 11 overs, conceding 55 runs.

Earlier, India were all out for 358 in their first innings. England’s first-innings total of 669 came in 157.1 overs. India now trail by 311 runs as they begin their second innings on a crucial Day 4.
