Himachal Pradesh all-rounder Rishi Dhawan was caught by the police as he was on his way to the bank. The player was charged with a fine of INR 500 as he didn’t have the vehicle pass. According to a report in Times of India, Dhawan had come out during the relaxation period between 10 AM and 1 PM. However, as he didn’t have the vehicle pass, the police fined him. He was driving his private car when he was stopped by the police. It was also reported that Rishi Dhawan paid the fine on the spot.

He has played three ODIs, scoring 12 runs and picking up one wicket. He has also played a lone T20I. In the IPL he has represented Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians. Dhawan had contributed with a donation of Rs 1 lakh towards the HP COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund through Mandi DC on March 30. The coronavirus outbreak has also had an impact on sporting activities in the country. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was forced to postpone Indian Premier League (IPL) till April 15, though the tournament will not start on the revised date. The board is expected to defer the league for an indefinite period.
