Points Table IPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru climbed to the top of the Indian Premier League 2026 points table after edging past Mumbai Indians by two wickets in a last-ball thriller at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
The defending champions chased down 166 on the final delivery of the match to register their seventh win of the season and move to 14 points from 11 matches. RCB also improved their net run rate to 1.103, which helped them overtake Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans in the standings.
RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and elected to bowl first. Mumbai Indians, led by Suryakumar Yadav in the absence of injured skipper Hardik Pandya, managed 165/7 in 20 overs.
Tilak Varma top-scored for MI with 57 off 42 deliveries, while Naman Dhir contributed 47. Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar starred with the ball for RCB, claiming 4/23 in his four overs.
In reply, Bengaluru suffered an early setback after Virat Kohli departed for a golden duck. However, Krunal Pandya played a match-winning knock of 73 to keep RCB in the chase before the visitors sealed victory off the last ball.
The defeat further dented Mumbai Indians’ playoff hopes. MI remained ninth in the standings with only six points from 11 matches and are now on the verge of elimination.
