India struggled early in the chase of 147 runs. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for five, Suryakumar Yadav fell for one, and Shubman Gill made 12. India slipped to 20 for 3 in four overs. Varma anchored the innings, scoring 69 not out from 53 balls with three fours and four sixes. He stitched partnerships with Samson, who made 24, and Dube, who scored 33, to guide India through a tense finish. Rinku Singh finished the chase with a four in the final over. India ended at 150 for 5 in 19.4 overs.
Pakistan had earlier posted 146 all out, after a promising start of 113 for 1. Sahibzada Farhan scored 57 and Fakhar Zaman made 46. Kuldeep Yadav led India’s bowling with four wickets for 30 runs, supported by Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel. Faheem Ashraf claimed three wickets for Pakistan.
India’s spinners controlled the middle overs, causing Pakistan to collapse from 113 for 1 to 146 all out. Jasprit Bumrah removed Haris Rauf and Mohammed Nawaz to finish the innings.
India played the final without star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to bowl first. India’s bowlers applied early pressure, restricting Pakistan despite a strong opening stand.
