Bollywood actor and BJP MP from Gurdaspur Sunny Deol has tested positive for COVID-19, the Himachal Pradesh health secretary said on Tuesday. Deol has been staying in Kullu district for some days, Health Secretary Amitabh Awasthi said. The Ghayal actor said he is under isolation and that his "health is fine". The BJP MP also urged all those who had come in contact with him in the last couple of days to isolate themselves and get themselves tested. The veteran actor had undergone a shoulder surgery in Mumbai and was recuperating at a farmhouse near Manali in Kullu district. 

Sunny Deol won his first Lok Sabha election last year as a BJP candidate from Punjab's Gurdaspur. He defeated Congress MP Sunil Jakhar in a triangular contest that also featured the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).On the work front,  Sunny recently announced a sequel to his hit movie Apne. For the first time, three generations of Bollywood's Deol family will unite on screen for the second installment of the 2007 film Apne. Dharmendra, his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, who featured in the first installment will also star in Apne 2, while Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol will also feature in the film.
