The CBI has released a statement on the ongoing death probe of actor Sushant Singh Rajput denying reports of the case reaching a conclusion earlier, there were reports that the team is about to complete their investigation. It was also being said that the team is likely to submit its closure report of the case to a CBI court in Bihar in a few days. In an official statement, the CBI team said, “Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues to investigate the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. There are certain speculative reports in media that the CBI has reached a conclusion. It may be reiterated that these reports are speculative and erroneous.”

Earlier, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences' (AIIMS) Forensic Medical Board submitted the autopsy reports of the late actor and ruled out the murder theory. They mentioned that Sushant died by suicide. Meanwhile, apart from the CBI, Sushant’s death case is being investigated by NCB and ED too. Recently, ED put a raid at Dinesh Vijan's Mumbai residence to probe the financial angle in Sushant’s death case. Rhea Chakraborty and her family members had been booked by Bihar Police for allegedly driving Rajput to suicide before the case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Subsequently, she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in September in connection with the drugs case related to Rajput's death. Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 at his Bandra residence.
