Telugu actor Thummala Narsimha Reddy aka TNR passed away on Monday, 10th May 2021 due to Covid related problems. TNR shot to fame as a character actor with films such as Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, HIT, Falaknuma Das, George Reddy, etc. Many prominent figures from the South Indian film industry expressed their grief about TNR's death. Now, megastar has helped  late TNR's family with Rs 1 Lakh for immediate expenses. A video of TNR's wife receiving the money has surfaced on social media.

Many prominent South Indian figures from the industry like actor Nani, producer Bandla Ganesh, director Maruthi, director Anil Ravipudi, actor Sundeep Kishan dedicated a post for the late actor and offered their condolences. Vijay Deverakonda also took to Twitter and shared a picture of him and TNR as he remembered their conversation on the chat show. The Arjun Reddy star wrote, "Thinking of you fondly, remembering our two long conversations, your genuine interest, love and patience.. Your passing away has left all of us at home shaken, you will be missed TNR sir.. My respects and love..(sic)."
