Jonas Brothers to be seen in untitled Christmas movie

Los Angeles, Jan 28 The musical group Jonas Brothers are getting off the stage, and getting onboard for a movie. The brothers are reuniting with Disney to produce and star in a Christmas comedy movie, slated for the 2025 holiday season.

The film has the working title ‘Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie’. As per the the logline, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas “face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families”, reports ‘Variety’.

Oscar winner Jessica Yu will direct the movie, which hails from 20th Television and writer-producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.

As per ‘Variety’, the Jonas Brothers produce alongside Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman and Scott Morgan. Grammy nominee Justin Tranter serves as executive music producer and will write original songs for the project.

The Jonas Brothers have a long history with the Mouse House. The pop rock group behind hits like ‘Year 3000’, ‘Burnin’ Up’ more recently, ‘Sucker’ released their second album on Hollywood Records, a Disney-owned label.

The brothers then became a mainstay on Disney Channel and starred in the original movies ‘Camp Rock’ and its sequel. They released two more albums on Hollywood Records and also led their own Disney Channel series titled ‘Jonas’.

The band called it quits in 2013 and then reunited six years later with ‘Sucker’, which debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the brothers’ first Number 1 single. The subsequent album, ‘Happiness Begins’, topped the Billboard 200. In 2023, the Jonas Brothers released their sixth studio album, ‘The Album’.

Earlier, actress-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ fans got miffed with her husband, singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, who is a part of the Jonas Borthers. The backlash came after his recent tweet to billionaire Elon Musk.

A few days ago, Tesla head-honcho Elon Musk, who is also the richest man in the world, reacted to a Tesla Owners Silicon Valley's X post which stated that the company's profit increased in light of Donald Trump winning the US Presidential elections of 2024.

Elon re-shared the tweet with the popular Jonas Brothers meme in which Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas were rotating a table when Joe Jonas entered. Elon wrote, "My, how the tables have turned”.

Responding to the same, Nick shared an image of Elon Musk pointing his finger and also wrote, "Take us to the year 3000”. The tweet went viral in no time and registered 27.1 million views. However, this irked the fans of Nick Jonas and Priyanka, who interpreted this tweet as Nick endorsing Elon Musk.
