Neetu Kapoor confirms she is positive for COVID-19, urges everyone to keep safe distance

Neetu Kapoor  has confirmed he has tested positive for Covid-19. The veteran actress  was shooting for her next Jug Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh when she contracted the virus. Neetu  has now shared an update about the same on Instagram. Sharing a statement, Neetu said, "Earlier this week I tested positive for Covid 19. All safety measures are being followed and I am thankful to the authorities for all their help and quick response. I am in self-quarantine, taking medication on my doctor's advice and feeling better."  Neetu also advised her fans to stay safe and in good health. She added, "I am so grateful for all your love and support! Please stay safe, wear a mask, keep safe distance. Take care."  

Not just Neetu, her co-star Varun Dhawan, Maniesh Paul  and Jug Jugg Jeeyo director Raj Mehta have also tested positive for the virus. The other cast members Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani have tested negative.Varun and Raj Mehta are currently isolating in Chandigarh. Neetu flew back to Mumbai after her actor-son Ranbir Kapoor made necessary arrangements. The cast and crew had undergone a test before starting the film shoot last month. In November, Neetu Kapoor had posted on Instagram that the cast is “COVID tested and safe” ahead of the filming start. Jug Jugg Jeeyo, backed by filmmaker Karan Johar, marks the return of Neetu Kapoor on the big screen. Apart from the cast of Jug Jug Jeeyo, Kriti Sanon who was also shooting in Chandigarh with Rajkummar Rao also tested positive.
