TV Actress Charu Asopa Moves Back to Hometown Bikaner, Due to Financial Struggle, Says 'Rajeev Sen Can Come To Meet Her Daughter Anytime'
Popular television actress and influencer Charu Asopa has decided to move out of Mumbai and shift her base to her hometown Bikaner. Charu came into spotlight after she got married to Sushmita Sen's brother Rajiv Sen. The couple tied the knot in 2018, but their relationship faced many ups and downs, often becoming a topic of public discussion. After several attempts at reconciliation, Charu and Rajeev ultimately ended their marriage in 2023, when their daughter was 3 months old. Post pregnancy Charu was doing daily soaps and trying to live her life in Mumbai, however due to financial struggles and time management she decided to shift back to her home in Bikaner, Rajasthan. She has now started her own online business of selling salwar kameez and sarees drew mixed reactions. While many applauded her entrepreneurial spirit, some critics disparaged her efforts, commenting, "Sushmita Sen ki ex-bhabhi online suit bech kar kar rahi hai guzara." Charu confirmed to HT that as of now she has left Mumbai with Ziana and living with her parents from past one month. Charu recently shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram account, showing pictures from her train journey back to Bikaner. In the photos, she’s seen spending quality time with Ziana, with a caption that read, “New chapter of life begins.”
Charu said, “Living in Mumbai is not easy; it costs money. For me, the monthly living cost came up to Rs 1 lakh -1.5 lakh, including the rent and everything, which was not easy. Furthermore, I would rather not leave Ziana alone with a nanny when I am shooting in Naigaon (outskirts of Mumbai). It used to get extremely difficult. Moving back home and starting my own thing was completely planned; it wasn’t a rushed decision.”
Talking about being a entrepreneur, "When you start something new, everyone struggles. What’s different in my case? I am doing everything on my own, from taking orders to sending packages to getting stock. When I came to Mumbai for acting that wasn’t easy too. I struggled to build a name for myself and I managed. Now, I have started this business, so that I can focus on my child, and I don’t think that’s wrong. It’s not like I was shooting for a big project. I would rather not take up a daily soap as I want to focus on Ziana. And I can shoot digital content from here, anyway. If I have to travel for a shoot, the best part of being back home is, I can always leave Ziana with her grandparents than a nanny.”

Before leaving Mumbai, I dropped a text informing him about my plans. Though they are no longer together, she’s trying to maintain healthy co-parenting for the sake of Ziana. “He can always come visit his daughter in Bikaner", She added.
