It looks like trouble seems to be mounting for the Chakraborty's from all quarters as according to a report in Zoom, a courier boy has reportedly come forward to claim that Rhea, Showik had ordered for 500 grams of marijuana (weed) at their residence during the lockdown. The report futher adds that, Dipesh Sawant coordinated the delivery of the marijuana and the parcel was accepted by Showik Chakraborty at his residence. As per the courier boy's claims, the packet was packed along with a few household items and was delivered as an essential goods at Rhea's residence. The report carried by Times Now also mentions about Sushant wanting to spend time at Rhea's residence amid lockdown.
Rhea and Showik have been sent to 14-day judicial custody until September 22 after Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) found evidences against the two procuring/consuming drugs. Sushant's cook Dipesh Sawant and house manager Samuel Miranda too are under custody on similar charges. Their bail plea was also rejected by the special court today. Her bail was reportedly rejected on the rounds that she might influence others and tamper evidence. The accused might now approach the High Court. Rhea's lawyer Satish Maneshinde has reacted to the bail plea getting rejected by stating, "Once we get a copy of the NDPS Spl Court Order, we will decide next week on the course of action about approaching the High Court" Sushant was found dead at his apartment on June 14. Ever since Rhea and her family have been embroiled in a legal row with Sushant's family pressing severe charges against the actress-girlfriend over abetment of suicide.
