Covid-19 situation improving: Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi, April 26 Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, here on Sunday, said the coronavirus situation was improving as hotspot districts were becoming non-hotspot districts.

He said this after visiting the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), here, to review its preparedness to tackle Covid-19. The Minister also spoke to a few Covid-19 patients through video call.

He expressed satisfaction at the working of various units of AIIMS and appreciated the 24x7 monitoring of Covid-19 patients through digital platforms and video/voice call technologies.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said 5,804 people had been cured and the recovery rate was 21.90 per cent. There are 26,496 Covid-19 cases and 824 people have died, so far.
