The second wave of corona in India is slowly subsiding. However, as there is a risk of a third wave, vaccination needs to be stepped up. But there are many misconceptions about the coronavirus vaccine in the minds of people. Many people are scared to get vaccinated thinking they will get infected.

Many people believe that antibodies are produced in the body within 2 to 3 days after receiving the corona vaccine. However, 21 days after taking the corona vaccine, your body develops the ability to protect itself from viral infections. Irresponsible behavior during these 21 days can lead to contracting the infection. This has come to the fore in research conducted in England. The research has answered questions; How much is the risk of contracting covid after the first dose, and what happens after the second dose.

According to UK's Office of National Statistics in England, you are safe 21 days after taking first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. By 3 weeks after vaccination, your body has developed enough antibodies to fight the coronavirus. Even after this you can still get corona infection. However, the discomfort caused by it is less. Your condition will not be serious. You do not need to be hospitalized.

According to the Office for National Statistics, the risk of covid is highest at 16 days after taking first dose of the vaccine. However, within a week after that, the risk decreases rapidly. After one month, the risk of infection is very low. The cases of covid infection after taking the second dose of the vaccine is 0.1 percent. However, most of these people had contracted corona before taking the second dose. While some people came in contact with coronavirus at the vaccination center.
