The coronavirus presents many uncertainties, and none of us can completely eliminate our risk of getting COVID-19. But one thing we can do is eat as healthily as possible.

If we do catch COVID-19, our immune system is responsible for fighting it.

Rujuta Diwekar is one of the leading nutrition and exercise science expert, she is a vocal champion of using our common sense and un-complicating the act of eating.

Recently in one of her Instagram post she emphasized on the importance of eating local fruits. She wrote,"Keep calm and eat jaam -

They say that there are two sides to every coin. So while the #coronavirus may slow you down and force you to stay indoors, don’t let it shut the doors on curiosity and cheerfulness. It’s spring time and if you look outside, you will see this beauty in bloom. It’s the native jaam or rose apple as some people call it.It will turn into a tasty, crunchy, pinkish fruit that is so powerful in its nutrients that it will ensure that you will stay in the pink of health, now and forever. It’s time to reinforce that longevity, immunity and cohesion in society is born out of sharing all that is local, seasonal and traditional."
