Iran Attack in UAE: At Least 5 Indians Injured After Debris From Intercepted Missile Sparks Fire in Abu Dhabi

At least five Indian nationals were injured after debris from an Iranian missile intercepted by the UAE anti-missile system fell near an industrial area of Abu Dhabi and sparked fire in the early hours of Saturday, March 28. 

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence said air defence systems were responding to the incoming projectiles and suicide drones from Tehran, as tension in the Gulf state intensified after the US planned a ground attack.

According to Abu Dhabi Media Office, a blaze was reported near Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), an industrial and free zone hub operated by AD Ports Group. The fire was caused by the falling of missile and drone debris after successful interception. 

The injured — all Indian nationals — sustained wounds ranging from minor to moderate, the statement added. The public has been advised to rely only on official sources for updates and avoid circulating unverified information.
