Mumbai, Sep 3 Ahead of the trailer launch of Kareena Kapoor’s upcoming thriller movie ‘Jaane Jaan’, a new poster has been unveiled which showcases actor Jaideep Ahalwat’s radical new transformation for the film.

The actor’s transformation has made him nearly unrecognisable. In the picture, Jaideep can be seen donning a white shirt, black pants and black tie along with thinning hair.

He is sitting down facing downwards, with an anxious and worried look on his face, as if he is waiting for something ominous to happen. Another very noticeable change, is the actor’s drastic weight loss after he gained a lot of weight for ‘Paatal Lok’.

Both Jaideep Ahalwat and Kareena Kapoor released the poster on Instagram, captioning the post: “Kuch Secrets, Jaan Lekar Hi Rahenge. Hold Tight!”

“#JaaneJaan trailer drops in 2 Days”

Director Sujoy Ghosh also releasing the poster on his X (formerly Twitter) wrote: “super excited to introduce you to -- naren vyas. pyaar karna koi iss se seekhey.....@JaideepAhlawat #JaaneJaan trailer drops in 2 days”

This is a very different look for the actor, after he was spotted as Inspector Hathi Ram Choudhary in the web-series ‘Paatal Lok’. Before that also, the actor has undergone radical new transformations in various ventures such as ‘Raazi’, ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ where he looked very different from his actual self.

This new poster comes after Kareena Kapoor had released another poster, which sees the actress Khan in an intense new avatar.

Much like a lot of dark and mysterious thrillers, this poster too showed Kareena’s own character staring at something intently in the distance. Behind her, a young girl can be seen out of focus.

'Jaane Jaan' is a crime thriller film, which will be based on the Japanese novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ by Keigo Higashino. Published in 2005, the novel is about the battle of wits between a math prodigy and his equally talented batch mate, who is probing the case of murder.

Slightly changing up the angle, in ‘Jaane Jaan’, the story revolves around a single mother tries to cover up the murder of her estranged husband with help from her neighbor, while borrowing many elements from the novel.

The trailer for the film release on September 5, 2023, while the movie will come out on Netflix on September 21, 2023.
