Michigan Shooting: Suspect in Custody After Active Shooter Incident in Delta Township

A suspect was taken into custody on Friday, February 13, after an active shooting incident was reported in Delta Township, Michigan. No reports of injuries or victims in the incident. The incident took place on Green Meadows Drive and Farmstead Lane in the township at around 5.30.

After the reports of shooting, the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies, with the assistance of Michigan State Police, cordoned off the area and asked citizens to avoid the area as an active shooter was near Farmstead Lane.

"You could be shot, injured or killed. Shooter has not been caught by the police. AVOID area until further notice. DO NOT confront shooter," an official in a statement.

Eaton County Sheriff Tom Reich, in a Facebook post, said the incident is “an active homicide situation.” “There is no longer any danger to the public. Our Detective Bureau is on scene. Our hearts go out to the community and the victims involved.”

However, Reich did not give any details on the victims in the incident or what led to the incident. Details on the suspect identify is still under investigation.
