While Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Formation of Strike Corps in Rawalpindi, and was briefed on the state of operational preparedness, which he said has a "critical and decisive role in war", the Naval chief also reviewed the security situation and the operational preparations at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
"COAS visited formations of Strike Corps. Briefed on state of operational preparedness. Strike Corps has critical and decisive role in war. Your state of preparedness, training standards and high morale are very encouraging which enhance the confidence," the army's media wing ISPR tweeted.
Pakistan Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi presided over the Command and Staff conference at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad and expressed solidarity with Kashmir.
According to the spokesman of the Pakistan Navy, the conference reviewed operational preparations of the Navy, development projects and the prevailing security situation. The Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy has reiterated the resolve that Pakistan Navy "is capable and fully prepared to deal with any situation".
The Naval Chief was also briefed on Pakistan Navy's ongoing and future projects. He expressed satisfaction over operational preparations of the Pakistan Navy.
The moves by the military chiefs comes as Pakistan successfully carried out night-training launch of its surface-to-surface ballistic missile 'Ghaznavi'.
The ballistic missile is capable of delivering multiple types of warheads up to 290 km, the ISPR spokesperson, Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Twitter.
President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the effort.
Pakistan on Wednesday closed three aviation routes of Karachi airspace till August 31 for the test.
He said that the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and the three services chiefs congratulated the team of experts for successfully testing the missile.
