United States: Shocking Case from Iowa as Woman Delivers Baby at Office Without Knowing Pregnancy

When a living being becomes pregnant, several minor and major physical changes take place in the body. The duration of pregnancy varies depending on the species. In humans, this period is generally around nine months. During pregnancy, women usually experience certain unavoidable changes. However, a shocking and surprising incident has emerged from Iowa in the United States. A woman working at a company called FedEx gave birth to a healthy baby boy right at her workplace. What is astonishing is that she had no idea she was pregnant.

According to reports by local media outlets KCCI and KENS, the woman employee has been identified as Amethyst Bloomberg. She said that around 8 am, while finishing her shift, she went to the bathroom when she suddenly began experiencing severe pain. Within moments, she realized the baby’s head was emerging. She somehow managed to open the bathroom door and called out for help. Soon after, the Johnston-Grimes Fire District team arrived at the spot and ensured a safe delivery. The mother and the newborn were later shifted to a hospital.

At present, both the mother and her baby boy are in good health, and she has named her son “Onyx King Easterly.” Amethyst is already a mother to one child. During her first pregnancy, she experienced all the common symptoms, but this time she noticed none. Instead of gaining weight, she was actually losing weight. “I only started having back pain during labour and felt the baby’s movements only when he moved down,” she said. She has humorously referred to her child as “our FedEx baby.” In fact, this is not the first such incident. A few weeks ago, a 28-year-old woman named Melanie Smith from Illinois suddenly gave birth to a baby on Christmas Day without knowing she was pregnant.
