The Mahavikas Aghadi government will contest the municipal elections in the state together or individually, the seniors of the three parties will decide. However, if covid cases remains under control, municipal elections will be held on time, State Transport Minister Anil Parab said in Pune on Friday. 

Anil Parab was in Pune on an inspection tour of various works being carried out by the State Transport Corporation. Later he spoke to reporters at an informal event.Covid cases in the state are declining, he said. So the situation is currently under control. Citizens should also follow the rules while working in public places. If covid cases keep declining, industry, trade and transportation will start at full capacity and the state will be able to move forward. So it is important that everyone should follow the rules. 

Maharashtra on Thursday reported 9,830 fresh COVID-19 cases and 236 fatalities and also added 400 old deaths, taking its infection tally to 59,44,710 and the toll to 1,16,026, said the state health department.
