Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: In a road accident, 24-year-old man died after getting crashed by speeding vehicle. The deceased identified as Rahul Anand Bagul was traveling from Waluj towards the city. Dr. Vivek Jadhav, the officer-in-charge of the Cantonment Police Station, stated that Rahul died on the spot in the accident, which occurred on the Cantonment railway flyover on Thursday, April 30 night .
According to the police, Rahul a resident of Mukundwadi, Ramnagar was traveling from Waluj towards the city late on Thursday night. While on the Cantonment railway flyover, he lost control of his two-wheeler, causing it to skid. Consequently, he fell onto the road. At that very moment, a speeding vehicle approaching from behind ran him over. Locals rushed to the scene and took him to Ghati Hospital; however, he had already passed away by the time they arrived.
The eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the vehicle that crushed him fled the scene immediately after the incident. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Cantonment Police Station in connection with this accident. During the same incident, Kaduba Sonawane sustained severe injuries. While Rahul's accident occurred on one side of the flyover, Kaduba, traveling on the opposite side, stopped to help. While crossing between traffic lanes to reach the site, he fell off the bridge. Dr. Vivek Jadhav confirmed Kaduba's injuries.
