Coronavirus Alert! NCP's Mukund Keni gave food items to more than 1000 poor families in a day

Coronavirus has infected 549,474 and caused 24,883 deaths globally. India is under lockdown till April 14.The toll in the pandemic rose to 17 in India on Friday and the number of patients increased to 724, according to the Union Health Ministry’s latest update. This includes those who have recovered and 640 active cases.

Because of the lockdown many poor families are suffering. With works closed for 21 days, poor families earning daily livelihood face great problems. During such difficult time NCP's Mukund Keni decided to provide food items like wheat, rice, pulses and sugar free of cost to around 1000 poor families in a day in Thane's Kalva area. 

Keni's whole family decided to help the poor families to ensure that the needy, who depend on daily wages for livelihood, are not affected by the 21-day nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak and do not have to purchase food items for the month of April. The politicians family will continue to give ration to the needy people for the next few days
