The Maharashtra government has imposed lockdown on weekends in view of the growing covid cases in the state.BJP leaders and activists will support this decision. Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Devendra Fadnavis said that the government should also consider the poor and middle class in the society and announce help. He was talking to the media in Nagpur.

Deaths due to covid are on the rise in the state. This is likely to increase further. Therefore, everyone should cooperate with the government. But the government should also look into the reasons why the new strain is spreading so fast. Mumbai, Pune are important cities in Maharashtra, they should be taken care of. But Maharashtra is also outside Mumbai, Pune, that should also be considered. To overcome the current situation, the state government needs to make the healthcare sysytem strong, Fadnavis said.

Furthe the BJP leader said, the state government has collected Rs 4,000 to 5,000 crore from power consumers by taking compulsory action. Now that the situation is deteriorating again, the government should stop cutting power, Fadnavis said.
