Maharashtra is one the worst affected state by coronavirus with Pune being the second highest maximum number of cases. Amid the rising cases, staffers of Kashibai Navale Medical College and General Hospital on Saturday launched a protest outside the hospital premises against the management.

The protest was held against the management of the hospital, following on payment of salaries of last 6 months (since December 2019). 

With 116 persons testing positive for COVID-19 in Pune on Friday, the city's tally surged to 7314.

Maharashtra has reported 62,228 cases and 2098 fatalities.
