A GST officer was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside his car near the Kapidharwad Road area on Friday, around 16 km from Dhule, along the Dhule–Pune National Highway. The incident initially raised suspicion of foul play, but police later confirmed that a suicide note was recovered from the spot. The deceased has been identified as Sachin Jadhavar, a resident of Shivnagar and a native of Chamb village in Barshi tehsil of Solapur district. He was serving as a GST officer and was also widely known as a popular educator who coached aspirants preparing for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examinations.
According to police, Jadhavar had left home for duty in the morning but did not return. Concerned family members later lodged a missing person complaint. During the search, his car was traced near Kapidharwad Road. When the vehicle was opened, Jadhavar was found unconscious inside. He was immediately rushed to the civil hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police officials stated that a suicide note was recovered from Jadhavar’s pocket. In the note, he reportedly mentioned work pressure as the reason behind the extreme step. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report. Jadhavar was known as an academic achiever. He had cleared the MPSC examination in 2012 and later joined government service. Through his YouTube channel “M English,” he taught English grammar and vocabulary to lakhs of aspirants across the state. He had also authored several reference books for competitive examinations.
Police are recording statements from family members, colleagues, and close associates to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to his death. Further investigation is underway.
