Former mayor of Khopoli Municipal Council, former chairman of education board Rohidas Patil (65) and his wife Nirmala Patil (60) passed away on the same day due to COVID-19. The couple is survived by their son, daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and grandchildren.
Rohidas Patil was a corporator for 35 consecutive years. He was elected from the Loji area. He was the Chairman of Nagar Parishad Shikshan Mandal for 15 consecutive years. In 1985, he was the Mayor of Khopoli Nagar Parishad. His wife, former corporator Nirmala Patil, was the daughter of former Minister of State KBL Patil.
