As per the instructions given by the state government to prevent the spread of coronavirus, ST buses will resume intra-district bus service from May 22, informed Transport Minister and President of ST Corporation Adv.Anil Parab. These services will not apply to red and containment zones.

In the fourth lockdown, the state government has allowed the ST Corporation to start ST bus services within the district (up to the district boundary) subject to certain conditions except red zone and containment zone.

Accordingly, ST bus service will start from tomorrow on selected routes in the district.

Of course, this requires strict adherence to the following rules. 1. The district bus service will run from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm. 2. All buses to be provided for travel will be sterilized using proper sanitizer. 3. Only 50% of the total capacity of the bus will be allowed to travel using social distance.4. Senior citizens and children below 10 years will not be allowed to travel by bus. 5. Each passenger and ST employee will have to use sanitizer before beginning their journey. 6. Every passenger and ST employee must wear a face mask during the journey.

The Minister appealed to the general public to co-operate with the ST Corporation to prevent the spread of Coronavirus by strictly abiding by the above terms and conditions.
