Meanwhile, curfews are still in effect in 11 police station districts, and the city is currently under strict security in response to the violent incidents of March 17. Most of Nagpur has returned to normal, but authorities have chosen to maintain restrictions in vulnerable locations as a precaution.

When the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a protest calling for the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, violence broke out. When the protest took an unexpected turn, widespread turmoil resulted. To stop more incidents, authorities responded by enforcing stringent security measures, such as route marches and curfews.

In the affected and vulnerable areas heavy police force is deployed to maintain order and peace. Intelligence teams are on the spot to monitor the situation, identify potential threats, and prevent any more disruptions from taking place in the city.
