Prime Minister Modi was sworn-in for a second successive term on May 30 last year after leading BJP-led NDA to a landslide victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

As the NDA government completes one year of its second term, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in an interacted with a leading news channel. On being asked a question about the political situation in Maharashtra, he replied quite openly.

Gadkari said that every government has its own way of working. I think the country is going through a very serious crisis. The battle with the Corona crisis is ongoing. And also it is the job of the opposition to criticize. Due to the pandemic the country is also battling economic crisis. At present the poor, laborers and farmers of the country are in a very miserable situation. In such crisis situation all the political parties and leaders should come together and work out how to solve all their problems. Every party should stop politics for a few days.
