Palghar Railway Tragedy: Three Youths Run Over by Goods Train While Allegedly Fleeing From Police

Maharashtra: Three youths killed after being hit by a goods train near Palghar railway station. This incident occurred while youths were on run while being chased by the police, on Friday night on March 14, 2026. The Palghar Railway Protection Force (RPF) has sent the bodies of the three victims to the Palghar Rural Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

According to reports, three of them Swapnil Shailesh Palande, Kunal Kumar Dubla, and Afroz Khalil Shaikh Virendra Nagar in East Palghar was initially apprehended and assaulted by police. While running away from police, the deceased attempted to escape by running along the railway tracks near the Palghar Jain Temple, and at that time they got hit by a goods train.

As all three of them died on the spot in the accident, the relatives of the deceased have alleged that the police are responsible for their sons' deaths.
