Parbhani: 4 Killed, One Injured After Car Crashes Into Bridge Near Jintur

Four men were killed and another was seriously injured when their car crashed into a bridge near Jintur in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra on Wednesday night, February 11. They are residents of Gangakhed and were reportedly travelling to Ujjain on a pilgrimage when the fatal accident occurred.

The accident occurred at around 12:15 am at the Akoli Bridge, located roughly four kilometres from Jintur city. The five friends were travelling in a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. According to preliminary reports, the car was travelling at high speed when it veered off course and collided with the concrete parapet of the Akoli Bridge.

Local police, along with medical staff, rushed to the accident site and transported victims to Jintur Rural Hospital. However, doctors declared four of the men dead on arrival. The deceased have been identified as Rohan Sanjay Rathod (27), Krishna Gutte (28), Balaji Ashroba Awate (21) and Balaprasad Uttamrao Ghorpade (30).

A fifth passenger, 25-year-old Gopal Ganesh Rokade, survived the initial impact but sustained critical injuries. Following stabilising treatment at Jintur, he was transferred to the Parbhani District Hospital for specialist care.
