5️⃣ CIDCO’s ₹14,130 Crore Budget to Boost Navi Mumbai’s Growth & Connectivity

Mumbai– The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has presented a budget of Rs 14,130 crore for the financial year 2025-26, with a strong focus on infrastructure, housing, and urban connectivity. Around Rs 3251 crores have been allocated for housing projects and Rs 625 crores for the expansion of the Metro network.

CIDCO Vice Chairman and Managing Director Vijay Singhal presented the budget, highlighting significant allocations for key projects, including the Navi Mumbai International Airport, NAINA (Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area), Metro expansion, International Edu-City, and water supply schemes. The budget estimates Rs 14,120 crore in expenditure and Rs 14,130 crore in revenue, ensuring a balanced financial approach.

"Our projects, like the Navi Mumbai International Airport, NAINA, metro expansion, and mass housing, are at crucial stages. This budget ensures their timely completion and benefits for citizens," said Vijay Singhal.

He added, “With a legacy of 55 years in city planning, CIDCO aims to strengthen its e-governance framework and enhance transparency in service delivery. The corporation has also committed to expanding road networks, railway connectivity, and smart urban development initiatives across Navi Mumbai and its influence zones.”
Key Allocations in the CIDCO Budget 2025-26:

Navi Mumbai International Airport – Strategic funding for project completion.

Metro Expansion – ₹625.48 crore allocated for metro connectivity.

Housing Projects – ₹3,251.38 crore for affordable housing initiatives.

Water Supply & Infrastructure – ₹1,120.50 crore for improved urban services.

New Town Development – ₹1,073.42 crore to expand CIDCO’s urban projects.
