Mumbai: A massive fire erupted at the godown Pleasant Park area in Mira Road on Tuesday, March 25, 2026 night. Flams rapidly spread to the nearby residential buildings triggering panic among the citizens. According to reports, blaze erupted at around 9pm in makeshift warehouse constructed using tin sheets and bamboo.
The godown reportedly stored highly flammable materials such as plastic and cloth, which intensified the fire and caused it to spread quickly. The growing fire spread to neighboring buildings, forcing residents to evacuate as it reached the fourth floor.
Explosions from gas cylinders inside the premises intensified the blaze and damaged nearby vehicles. Firefighters responded with multiple tankers and equipment to control the situation. While no casualties were reported, significant financial losses are estimated.
