A firing incident was reported from the Byculla area of Mumbai on Tuesday evening, leaving a 38-year-old man injured. The incident took place around 6:15 pm in the Dockyard Road locality.

 

According to police officials, the injured person has been identified as Sameer Asif Sheikh. He sustained a bullet injury to his leg during the firing.

 

The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Doctors have stated that his condition is stable and he is out of danger.

 

Soon after receiving information about the incident, teams from Byculla Police Station and the Crime Branch reached the spot and began an investigation.

 

Police are currently probing the motive behind the firing and efforts are underway to identify and trace the attackers. Further investigation is in progress.
