Mumbai Fraud: ₹3.53 Crore Land Deal Scam Exposed, 4 Booked by Charkop Police

A shocking case of fraud involving ₹3.53 crore under the pretext of a land deal has come to light. The Charkop Police have registered a case against four accused under various sections.

According to the complaint filed by Rajesh Kumar Jha, the accused lured him with offers to sell properties located in Goregaon and Palghar. The accused—identified as Ravi Pujari, Uday Pujari, and their associates—allegedly promised ownership of the land along with partnership in a company and extracted large sums of money in phases.

Initially, the accused took cash payments for the land transaction and assured the complainant that all documents would be cleared. However, investigations revealed that fake documents were used, forged signatures were created, and the partnership agreement was manipulated to cheat the complainant.

Despite receiving a total of ₹3.53 crore, the accused failed to hand over possession of the property. Police suspect that the accused acted in collusion and deliberately conspired to defraud the complainant.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigation is underway. The incident has caused a stir due to the large-scale financial fraud involving forged documents. Police have urged citizens to thoroughly verify documents before entering into high-value land transactions.
